Virtual Experience Centre platform design and development

Throughout the past three decades, Hyundai has gradually expanded its presence in Europe. They have constructed many important facilities, from R&D and Design centres to production plants, as well as introducing models specifically aimed at European customers. The Virtual Experience Centre is another innovation paving the way into virtual sales.

The Challenge

To deliver a fully virtual experience centre for Hyundai to tackle an immediate issue throughout Covid and beyond. The solution was to deliver a centre of digital excellence for all things Hyundai from a virtual showroom for customers to explore the latest vehicles to the history of the Hyundai brand, a virtual meeting space for dealers and staff, specific locked spaces for staff training and sponsors a like. There was a real desire to produce something that hadn’t been done before and to disrupt the way automotive was viewed in the digital space.

The Solution

Working alongside our project lead The fresh Group sevenseven worked with the team at Hyundai UK and The fresh Group to blue print a fully virtual 3D experience centre where customers could immerse themselves in the history of Hyundai, watch OnDemand footage and walk around, interact and climb inside each vehicle without leaving their sofa at home. The platform was also developed to house internal virtual events, live streams and other training documents and videos.

The platform has the capability for customers to book test drives directly with retailers within their area, interact with experts via a live chat function and fully research a vehicle virtually before going to see one in a physical showroom.

sevenseven developed the infrastructure and content management platform which underpins the highly polished 3D environment produced by The fresh Group which allows Hyundai to quickly update and manage content on each vehicle, video and other individual pieces of content. There is an in-depth reporting dashboard built into the platform which allows Hyundai to view statistics such as:

Audience dwell time

Number downloads

Number of members registered

And also which content touch points are most popular

The platform has gone from strength to strength and the plans for the future are extremely exciting.

The Result

Hyundai UK have a unique platform which is not only an extremely powerful sales tool but also brings internal staff members together from all over the UK to host live events for them and their customers both together and individually.

The platform is also use for key product launches, competitions with key partners driven in conjunction with social campaigns and email pushed and also plays a key part as a tactile experiential tool at live events.
